Affordable Law School

Affordable Law School: Making It Happen

So many Americans dream of going into law as a profession. The reasons are as diverse as the people themselves. For some it is the lure of the potential high income. There are others who see law as a means to help others and make a difference in the quality of their clients’ lives. There are many law school graduates who go into law enforcement, and those who aspire to the judicial system.

But for all these dreams and wishes there is one problem standing in the way. Money. Is there such a place as an affordable law school? Affordable may mean different things to different people. Thankfully, there are good, accredited, affordable law schools. The Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law is a nonprofit law school accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of The State Bar of California and prepares students for the practice of law through a program that deftly combines quality, convenience, affordability, and real-world practicality. Founded more than 40 years ago to expand opportunities for legal education, today the Colleges of Law are widely recognized as one of the state’s premier regional law schools.

For more than 30 years, the Colleges of Law has been accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. It is accredited as one law school with two campuses.

The school offers a flexible, part-time evening J.D. program that fits well into the schedules of those who currently work. Upon graduation, a student is awarded a Juris Doctor degree and is academically eligible for the California Bar Examination. What is extremely appealing for those searching for an affordable law school is that the Colleges of Law is less than half the cost of a traditional private law school.

In the list of affordable law schools, The Colleges of Law assists all applicants by offering lower tuition and fees. In addition, they will work with you to identify scholarship programs, loan programs, and student employment opportunities that can minimize the financial impact of returning to school.
