Tuition & Fees
Since 1969, our mission has been to deliver an affordable, high-quality legal education.
That's why our tuition is substantially below that charged at the majority of law schools accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of The State Bar of California. When you consider the professional success of our graduates, our reasonable tuition makes a strong case for choosing the Colleges of Law.
Tuition for 2011-2012 is $475 per academic semester unit. At that rate, tuition for the J.D. degree at the Colleges of Law is $39,900 ($475 per unit X 84 units=$39,900.)
Entering First-Year students also pay a one-time Consolidated Student Fee of $550; this covers all customary services and materials, as well as entrance fees for full-day Legal Essay Writing Workshops. Other fees apply as students advance through the program (such as a graduation fee); these are listed in the Collegesʼ Policy manual, which is available to admitted students and upon request. Annual book costs vary based on course selection, but required texts are estimated to cost around $750-1,000.
