J.D. Program Overview

At the Colleges of Law, we offer a flexible, part-time evening J.D. program tailored to meet the needs of busy, working adults who place a high value on academic excellence and reasonable cost.

Upon graduation, a student is awarded a Juris Doctor degree and is academically eligible to sit for the California Bar Examination.

Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Length of Program

3-1/2 or 4 years (84 units)
Students are admitted to the J.D. program in Fall semester only.

fall and spring semesters
          (15 weeks)
summer session
          (10 weeks-required)

Fall and Spring  Schedule

6:30 to 9:30 p.m., 3 nights/week

Santa Barbara:   M, Tu, Th
Ventura:              M, W, Th

Summer Schedule

6:30 to 9:30 p.m., 3 to 4 nights/week

M, Tu, W, Th and
(on occasion) Saturday
