Electronic Tools

In the 21st century, effective lawyering requires facility with a variety of electronic tools. The J.D. program at the Colleges of Law is designed to help students to develop expertise in using legal technology.

All enrolled students have access to Westlaw®, a premier online database for legal and law related material, including federal and state statutes, cases, regulations, law journals, and legal news sources. Instruction in using Westlaw® is provided in the Legal Research course. Access to Westlaw® is available through students' home and office computers and through computers in the law libraries at each campus.

Through course management software, students have online access to course syllabi, outlines, and handouts, as well as to an Exam Bank of past essay exams in core courses.

The Colleges of Law also make available to students past General Bar Exam and First Year Law Students' Exam questions, organized by legal subject.
