Academic Support

At the Colleges of Law, academic support starts with First-Year Orientation and continues through graduation.

First-Year Orientation gives students an overview of the essential how-to's of law study, from reading legal opinions and organizing effective study groups through techniques for managing stress. In the Legal Analysis and Writing course, offered during the first semester, First-Year students focus on the analytical skills needed for success on law school exams. Throughout fall and spring semesters, academic advisors offer skill-building workshops and one-on-one counseling for more individualized guidance. When it comes time to prepare for exams, students have access to a bank of past years' exams and frequently take advantage of review sessions and practice exams offered by professors.

Whether students prefer to work in a group or on their own, resources are available to help them reach their legal educational goals.
